Centurion: Mohammed Shami put up a brilliant performance in the Test match against South Africa at Centurion. Mohammed Shami also completed his 200 wickets in Test cricket and also took five wickets in an innings for the first time in Africa.  Mohammed Shami had tears in his eyes during this wonderful achievement and remembered his late father. Mohammed Shami shared happy moments with bowling coach Paras Mahambrey on a TV channel after day three. Mohammed Shami said the success of participating in sports is enough for him for the country. I will try to do well in the coming match as well, he said.

Mohammed Shami also had tears in his eyes during the chat, and when asked about the celebrations of reaching 200 wickets, he replied that it was mainly for his father, who died in 2017. Consequently, credit must be given to the person who helped us achieve our goals. Mohammed Shami's father Tauseef Ali passed away in January this year.

Mohammed Shami had also written an emotional message for his father, in which he expressed his desire to see his father walk once again. Mohammed Shami also suffered from internet abuse the same year when he had a poor performance against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup and was heavily criticised. Virat Kohli backs Mohammed Shami in this difficult time.
