New Delhi: You may soon get good news from the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). More than six crore beneficiaries will soon get interest in their PF accounts at the rate of 8.5 per cent. The Finance Ministry had recently given the green signal to the 8.5 per cent interest rate on provident funds for 2020-21. In this case, a good amount of money will be added to the accounts of PF account holders.

The Central Board of Trustees of the EPFO, headed by the Labour Minister, had approved an interest rate of 8.5 per cent for March this year for 2020-21 as last year. However, the Labour Ministry will now have to compulsorily seek approval from the Finance Ministry at this proposed rate. EPFO account holders are now likely to get interest before Diwali after getting the green signal from the ministry on Friday. To check PF money, you need to give a missed call from your registered mobile number on 011-22901406. You will then get to know the PF through EPFO messages. Here too you must have UAN, PAN and Aadhaar links.
