Monsoon is likely to hit Lucknow and eastern part of the Uttar Pradesh around June 10-14. On Monday, Banda recorded the highest temperature in the state with 46.8 degrees Celsius.
Official of the meteorological office said, "The state capital recorded 44 degrees Celsius, four degrees above the average for this part of the year".
The meteorological office has predicted thunder showers and dust storms in western parts of the state.
