New Delhi: The government has convened an all-party meeting on Sunday ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament. Sources said this on Wednesday. Sources said, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi has invited leaders of several political parties for the meeting. PM Narendra Modi is also likely to attend the meeting.

Such all party meetings are convened before the session begins to ensure smooth functioning of the House. The monsoon session will begin on July 19 and conclude on August 13. The Central Government intends to complete as many legislative tasks as possible in this session. At the same time, the Government has made it clear that the Government will be ready to hold an open-minded discussion on the issue on which the Opposition wants to discuss.

In the meeting, Om Birla will urge all parties to ensure smooth conduct of the session. On the other hand, the BJP has also geared up for the monsoon session.
