Ranchi: Monsoon will come late in Jharkhand this year. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the onset of monsoon from the Bay of Bengal in Kerala will be around June 4. Its partial impact is also expected in Jharkhand. Normally, monsoon arrives in Jharkhand around June (14-15), but this year it will arrive with a delay of 6 days, on June 20. However, if there is a significant change in the general trend, there may be a slight delay.
The delay in monsoon is not the only cause of concern, the problem is that the IMD has already forecast 5 per cent less rainfall than the average for the state. The monsoon entering India from the Bay of Bengal via Kerala enters Jharkhand in mid-June. The Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal play an important role in this. The Meteorological Department says that usually Jharkhand receives 1-22 mm of rainfall, but this time it will rain 5 percent less than normal.
Giving information, the Indian Meteorological Department has told that usually the monsoon knocks in Kerala by June 1. However, there is a possibility of delay or early arrival of 1 week due to seasonal trend. However, if we talk about the entire country, the Meteorological Department has predicted normal rains. If it rains, the production of food grains will be good.
