New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of corona in the country and the alarming situation in the country, the Central Government has decided to increase vaccination. Registration for people from 18 to 44 years has also been started on the Co-Win app from Wednesday. Earlier, people were not able to register on the app at all. When registration started after 4 pm, a record 1.33 crore people registered for the vaccine in a single day.

Registration of so many people can also be a source of trouble for the government in a few days. Already, the State Governments have been saying that they do not have enough stock of vaccine. The Congress-ruled states of Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra have talked about the shortage of corona vaccine. People from hospitals here have to come back disappointed. Immunization of only 25 to 30 lakh people is possible in a day. A doctor at AIIMS said timely vaccination will also be a big challenge. People will also have to return to their work after getting vaccinated. Such a big campaign is not easy.

About 59 crore people in the country are between 18 and 44 years of age. When registration for those above 60 years of age started, about 25 lakh registrations were done in a day. Then, in the second phase, people used to come for vaccination even without registration. So far, 14.80 crore registrations have been registered on Covin. Out of these, only 2.91 crore have gone online, while others were registering at the centre.
