Due to increasing pollution, everyone are getting affected. The same pollution in the city of Gurugram is increasing trouble for the workers. The construction work in the city has been banned after the EPCA order. Whereas daily wage workers are becoming unemployed. More than 10 thousand labourers are getting affected due to it.

According to the information received, the labourers working in Gurugram from other states are now migrating. On the other hand, the development work being done in the city by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority has also been stopped. Work was underway on more than two dozen projects in the city, which have been closed till further orders of EPCA. Where pollution levels in Delhi and surrounding areas have reached alarming levels. It has also become difficult for people to get out of the house due to pollution. In view of the level of pollution, EPCA has banned construction works for about 10 days.

Despite this, work was going on at some under construction sites. Expressing displeasure over this, the EPCA ordered the Central Pollution Control Board to stop the construction work altogether. Work on government and private construction sites stopped. There are more than 60 under-construction sites in the district on which work has been stopped. It also includes works being done by GMDA for the development of the city. Workers say that due to EPCA ban on construction works, the stoves in their house have started extinguishing. More than 10 days have passed, but he has not got a daily wage. He has spent the money collected earlier by working. In such a situation, now there is no other way left before them to go to other states or return to their villages.

Development of the city stalled: According to the information received, GMDA Chief Engineer Infra-1 Jitendra Mittal said that the development work being done by GMDA in the city is closed till the next order of EPCA. Other works including flyovers, underpasses, road widening are being done in the city. With the work stopped, the contractor has discharged the labor at these places. Now the work should be started again only after the EPCA order.
