New Delhi: An official data has revealed that 2.6 million people have been affected by corona infection even after receiving the corona vaccine. This data is up to August 3, 2021, collected by government agencies. So far, 53.14 crore people in the country have been given corona vaccine supplements. Sources said 1.71 million of these people had corona infection, after taking the first dose of the vaccine. While a total of 87,049 people have contracted the infection after taking both doses.

This makes it clear that both doses of the corona vaccine are safer than those who take a vaccine. Health ministry sources said the ministry is tracking breakthrough infections (infections after taking the vaccine). The tracking process will begin on a portal in the coming week. However, it is not clear whether this portal will be made public or not. Official sources said that the genome sequence of breakthrough samples from all states is being done. A letter has been written to the Principal Secretary of Kerala in which NCDC Chief Sujit Singh has said that the vaccine breakthrough case will be investigated. At the same time, adequate such samples will also be sent for genome sequencing. The death toll from the delta plus virus in Maharashtra has risen to five. Two deaths have been confirmed in Ratnagiri and one each in Mumbai, Beed, and Raigad. According to data released by the government, a 69-year-old man has died in the Raigad district. The person died on July 22. Delta Plus variant suo-clock is confirmed in its genome sequence. Both doses of the person's vaccine were also reportedly administered.
