According to information received from the health department on Wednesday, 252 people have been confirmed dead so far due to black fungus. Earlier, the Delhi government had reported 89 deaths due to black fungus. Black fungus has been detected in 1,734 patients in Delhi so far. Out of these, 519 patients have recovered, out of which more than 300 patients have had to undergo eye or nose surgery. A total of 928 patients are undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals.
At the same time, the report noted that there were 35 patients who refused to seek treatment for black fungus. At the same time, they refused to accept medical advice. These patients have been placed in the Lama category. However, the government report does not know if these patients are currently undergoing treatment or not.
