New Delhi: COVID cases have been steadily increasing for 2 weeks in the capital. The number of patients in government hospitals, as well as private hospitals, are now increasing. The hospital says that this month there has been a 30% increase in the number of patients. Most of them are from outside Delhi. In Delhi, from July to August 17, the number of patients of infection started decreasing. Meanwhile, patients admitted to the hospital had also reduced to less than two and a half thousand, but now this figure has reached four thousand. Major hospitals like Apollo (Sarita Vihar), Max (Saket), Fortis (Shalimar Bagh), Sir Gangaram City and Sir Gangaram Colmet (Pusa Road) are being treated by Corona patients.

Doctor Rajiv Chawla of Apollo Hospital said that "More than 50 percent of the patients admitted to the hospital are from outside Delhi. Cases of infection are increasing in UP and Bihar. The patients there are contacting the hospital for treatment". He said that "Most patients in the capital are undergoing treatment in home quarantine, so the number of patients outside Delhi is higher in the hospital". Doctor Kishore of Max Hospital said that "More than 80 percent of the patients admitted in the hospital are from other states. Dr. Kishore told that now ICU beds are also being filled due to increase in patients. Most of the patients in ICU are also from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Bihar".

45 percent of those who died are outside Delhi: 45t% of the deaths in Corona Hospital this month are from outside Delhi. According to the health department, 425 patients died of corona infection in August. Out of which 190 were patients from other states.
