We are talking about the southern African country of Morocco where 36 watches of King Mohammed VI were stolen from the palace. You will be surprised to hear that the price of each watch was around 14 lakh rupees.

A woman scavenger of the palace has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on Saturday for the theft, but the name of the 46-year-old female thief has not been disclosed yet. 14 other people including gold traders who bought those watches of King Mohammed VI have also been sentenced to 4-4 years in jail. During the trial, other accused along with the woman had confessed their crime and according to media reports, the woman thief melted the watches and took out precious gems and sold it at a very high price.

With this money, the accused bought a golf course worth Rs 11 lakh. An apartment was also booked in the name of the sister of the lady sweeper, which is worth about 18 lakh rupees. Mohammed VI, the king of Morocco, is fond of wearing luxury watches, buying expensive paintings and moving in new cars and one of his watch is worth about Rs. 8.5 crores.
