Moscow: According to Forbes' most recent ranking, Moscow is now home to 61 billionaires, up from 53 in 2022, making it the sixth most desirable city in the world for the super-rich.

According to reports, the wealthiest individuals in Moscow now have a combined net worth of $307.1 billion, up from $215 billion in 2017, when the city ranked third.

With 101 billionaires and a combined net worth of $616.8 billion, New York claimed the top spot. Hong Kong (70), Beijing (68), Shanghai (65), and London are listed after New York City (63).

After New York and Paris, where the combined net worth of billionaires is $617 billion and $409, respectively, in terms of the amount of wealth held by the richest citizens, Moscow came in third.

According to the magazine, nearly two-thirds of Moscow's wealthiest individuals saw an increase in their wealth over the previous year, while only two experienced a decline.

Vladimir Potanin, owner of the massive mining company Norilsk Nickel, is reportedly the wealthiest Muscovite, with a net worth estimated at $23.7 billion.
