A rare-looking snake has been caught in Kalyan in Maharashtra on Thursday. This snake of Russell Viper species is very poisonous. The video of this amazing snake is becoming quite viral on social media. The length of this two-headed snake is eleven centimetres. This snake is one of the species of venomous snakes found in the country. Its bite can kill a human being in a moment.

When the resident of Kalyan Dimple Shah saw this two-headed snake, she informed the War Rescue Foundation about this. The Foundation's 2 rescue teams then reached the spot to rescue the rare snake. Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda has shared this video of a two-headed snake on her Twitter handle. Sharing the clip, Nanda wrote "Double danger Two-headed Russell’s Viper rescued in Maharashtra. Genetic abnormality and hence low survival rates in the wild. The Russell’s Viper is far more dangerous than most poisonous snakes because it harms you even if you survive the initial bite."

Twin-headed snakes are extremely rare. Rescue of this wonderful snake has been handed over to Hafkin Institute of Parel. In May this year also, a wolf snake with twin head was found in Odisha. Many cases of twin-faced snake smuggling have also come out. It is said that eating it increases physical capacity and benefits in many diseases, but it is nothing but a superstition.
