The woman, who lives in a society in Bhangel of Police Station Phase-2 area of Noida, committed suicide on Friday after allegedly killing her innocent daughter feeding her a poisonous substance. After receiving the information of the incident, the police reached the scene of the incident and took the two bodies in possession, and sent them for postmortem.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Harish Chander said that Shivam Chauhan, who resides in a society in Bhanghel of Police Phase-II area, was married a few years ago and had a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. The DCP said that there was a fight between the husband and wife about something two days ago. After which, on Thursday night too, there was a fight between the husband and wife about something and after which Shivam went away from home.
He said that after which Shivam's wife fed poisonous substance to his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and also committed suicide by hanging herself. The DCP said that police received information about the incident in the morning. Police reached the spot and took the dead bodies and sent them for postmortem. As for this, he said that the police are investigating the case. The husband of the deceased escaped. The police are on the lookout for him. The police have not received any suicide note from the spot.
