DURG: Three persons lost their lives while three others were injured in two road accidents in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. On Thursday morning, a mother-son duo on a scooty lost their lives after being hit by a dumper trailer near Khursipar in Bhilai. A Scorpio and two motorcycles collided on the Padmanabhpur flyover in Durg on Thursday. In the accident, a man riding a bike fell under the bridge, killing him, while three were seriously injured.
On Thursday, a mother-son duo riding a scooty was hit by a dumper in the Khursipar police station area of Bhilai around 8 am. The deceased have been identified as Shashi Mishra (50) and Ashwini Mishra (30), both residents of Puraina. According to the information received from the police, Ashwini Mishra had left home with his mother Shashi Mishra and had turned towards Transport Nagar Road through Dabra Para Chowk. Due to this, the dumper number CG 12C 0817 coming from the front took the scooty into its grip. The mother and son died on the spot in the fatal accident. Khursipar police station in-charge Durgesh Sharma said that the truck driver fled after the accident. The police have set up a morgue and taken up the matter for consideration. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary for post mortem.
On the other hand, a Scorpio and two motorcycles collided in the Padmanabhpur flyover in Durg in the wee hours of Thursday. The collision was so dangerous that a bike rider fell down from the bridge, killing him on the spot, while three were seriously injured. One of the injured persons has been admitted to Durg district hospital and two to Raipur hospital. According to Padmanabhapur police, the Scorpion number CG 04 DH 0551 was going towards HUDCO from Durg. Due to this, two motorcycle riders were coming from HUDCO's side. The Scorpio and the two motorcycles collided on the bridge. An ATM card has been found in the pocket of the deceased, which has Ganguram Deshlahare written on it. The injured persons have been identified as Vikrant, Yashwant and Dev Singh. The case is being investigated by the police.
