Dehradun: A heart-shaking incident has come to light from Kapkot, Uttarakhand. In which a mother kept her daughter hungry and thirsty in a room for three days. The police has now got the daughter admitted to the Community Health Center. When people came to know that a woman in Kapkot had locked her 17-year-old daughter in a room after keeping her hungry and thirsty for three days, they informed the child welfare committee. The committee informed the Kapkot police station.
Meanwhile, while giving information about the matter, Kapkot Police Station Pratap Singh Nagarkoti said that with the help of social worker Girish Joshi and other persons, the teenager has been admitted to the Community Health Center in Kapkot. According to the SHO, the girl's mother is already mentally unwell. Because of this she also fell into depression. Two months ago, the family members showed the girl to the doctors in the district hospital.
Thereafter, he was treated at Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani. When there was no improvement, he was admitted to the Mental Disease Hospital in Selakui, Dehradun. A few days ago, the girl was brought to Kapkot by her relative from Dehradun. The girl's father passed away several years ago. There is no one else in his house except his mother. According to the SHO, the girl is being treated at Kapkot CHC. All possible help will be given to the girl child.
