This woman is the first female autorickshaw driver from Baleshwar city in Odisha. She is setting an example for all women, most of the women get disappointed with their lives after their husband leaves. But Madhumita Bandhani did not do this. She became the first autorickshaw driver in her city. She has studied till the 8th and she was 15 when she got married.

Madhumita says, "I come from a poor family but I did not give up after my husband left. And started taking responsibility for his family. She also struggled to meet all the small needs. In this society where women are considered less than men, Madhumita is becoming an inspiration for women. Madhumita used to drive autorickshaws within the 60 km radius. Madhumita, after finishing the housework and sending the children to school, goes to work."

Madhumita has been driving auto for the past nine months. Women feel quite safe to sit in her auto and they all praise her courage to run an auto. She never takes money from the poor and needy people. Like all mothers, she also has a dream that she wants to give good education to her two children and also says that "I want to teach my children a lot, for this, I am ready to drive the auto for extra hours so that I can earn some more money". She earns about ten thousand rupees every month. Her strong will teaches us all that we should fight every situation with courage and never give up".
