New Delhi: Delhi police arrested a mother-daughter duo for allegedly cheating five people of nearly Rs 2.5 crore after selling the same Greater Kailash Part-I house to all five of them.

As per a report, the two men were identified as 65-year-old Molly Kapoor and her 43-year-old daughter Anuradha Kapoor. The police nabbed them from the South Delhi's New Friends Colony on Saturday. The complaints were lodged by three of the five allegedly duped by the accused. Meanwhile, the two women fled abroad and were living lavishly.

The accused were produced before a Delhi court on Saturday and were sent to Tihar Jail. The police officials told HT, Molly and Anuradha were proclaimed offenders in two cases and after selling their house on the basis of forged documents. After collecting the token money the duo fled to abroad and switched off their phones.
