Recently on social media, a debate has awestruck on motorbike driver, criticizing for the driver parking on a yellow hatched area in a Bunnings carpark. In this debate, not everyone was convinced that the rider was wrong but few did agree.

In a post shared in Shame Facebook group of Australian Disability Parking Wall, one man writes how he had busted a motorcyclist parking in a section between two disabled parking spots. The photo was picturizing how the bike had been parked on a hatched area with yellow lines and a pole in the carpark of the Bunnings in the Geelong region, in Victoria. The man captioned the post with a bit true statement, “He explained to me that motorbikes can park anywhere, even on footpaths. Besides, there is no sign of saying NO BIKE PARKING. I tried to explain to him how ignorant he was, but it fell on deaf ears.” The photo within a while got dozens of comments from people who blasted the motorcyclist’s decision to park in the space that had been reserved so disabled people using the adjoining spaces can enter and exit their car safely. Many people commented opening up with their views and questions.

Others hoped that the motorcyclist would learn a lesson from parking there, with one person writing: “I’m not one to advocate vandalism, but it’d be karma if the wind (!) blew it over.” But others disagreed with the harsh assessment, pointing out that rules for where motorcyclists can park weren’t always clear.
