The race to launch the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone is on. Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi and Realme have confirmed phones with this updated chipset. Now, Motorola is also going to enter this race soon. Lenovo executive Chen Jin has posted a retail box of a forthcoming smartphone. As per the reports, this could be a Snapdragon 888-based Motorola phone.

Motorola earlier in the month of April introduced a flagship-level phone earlier with the Edge Plus. The 5G-enabled Edge Plus is available online at the price of around ₹65,000. The specifications of this phone include 12GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 108-megapixel camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Snapdragon 888-based phones are expected to launch next year.  Apart from Snapdragon 888, the phone is said to come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, Quad HD+ display, and 4,780mAh battery. According to Qualcomm’s own benchmark results, the processor will offer improved performance across CPU, graphics, and AI, among other parameters.
