Indore: An FIR has been registered against a total of 24 people from both sides in a violent clash case after shouting provocative slogans during independence day celebrations at a multi-story residential complex in Indore. Now, two of these accused have been arrested recently. In fact, recently, the police said, two persons were injured in stone-pelting during the clash.

The case pertains to Tejaji Nagar where RD Kanwa, in charge of the police station, said, "The two sides have lodged an FIR against each other in connection with a clash over provocative slogans after the tricolour was hoisted at the Independence Day celebrations in a multi-storey residential complex on Sunday.'' He further informed that both the cases have been registered under Section 147 (Balwa) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code. At the same time, the police station in charge also said, "The first FIR has the names of 19 accused, while the second FIR has five named accused. Based on video footage of the incident, other accused from both sides are being identified.''

Two persons are said to have been arrested for stone-pelting during the clash. Police officials also said that at the Independence Day celebrations at the multi-story residential complex in the Tejaji Nagar area, one side raised provocative slogans against the other side in response to which people from the other side pelted stones at the people shouting slogans. After all this, the two sides clashed. He further said that as soon as the clash was reported, a police force was deployed at the spot and the situation was brought under control.
