Bhopal: After a few days of relief, heavy rains have started in MP today. In fact, after the 4-day break of rain in MP, the rain system has become active again. Extremely heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Narsinghpur, Damoh, Sagar and Chhatarpur districts. With this, an alert of very heavy rains has been issued in about 18 districts of the state along with Rewa, Bhopal, Gwalior Chambal and Narmadapuram divisions. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Shajapur and Agar.

Earlier on Saturday, a yellow alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall was issued in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, a yellow alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall was issued in all the districts of Shahdol and Rewa divisions as well as Panna, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Katni, Vini and Mandla districts. There was a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Bhopal and Gwalior Chambal regions. The weather of Bhopal had also changed and dark clouds had camped here. Apart from this, the rain will continue in Chhattisgarh today.
