Bhopal: The indigenous liquor distribution introduced by the Madhya Pradesh government in 2020-21 is going to be extended once again. In fact, the Commercial Taxes Department is bringing the proposal in a cabinet meeting to be held today i.e. Let me tell all of you that the Cabinet may also announce the approval of the Health Department's proposal for the recruitment of 419 dentists. In fact, it has been reported that the post will be filled up in three years.

Let us also tell all of you that with regard to the increase in the present system of distribution of indigenous liquor, the Department argues that the retail shops of indigenous liquor have been renewed or contracted for the current financial year. The revenue from these shops has also been secured and now, in such a situation, the introduction of a new distribution system will adversely affect the revenue of the State. Therefore, the present system should be extended up to 31st March 2022. You all must be aware that the Government has extended this system twice, which was up to 31st July 2021.

On the other hand, the Health Department is proposing to sanction 419 new posts keeping in view the need for dentists. Under this proposal, one post each of Joint Operator Dentist and Deputy Operator Dentist, seven posts of Deputy Operator Dental at Division level, 34 posts of Dentist in District Hospitals, 46 posts of Dentist, 330 posts in Community Health Centres are mentioned.
