Bhopal: Congress in Madhya Pradesh has called for a half-day bandh today. Its effect has started showing. Congress leaders and activists are currently engaged in closing the market. The police has arrested 11 activists including former minister PC Sharma and Councilor Guddu Chauhan. According to the information, these are the same people who went to shut down Arera petrol pump. It is being said that the police have taken everyone into custody and sent them to a new jail. According to information, PC Sharma had also reached Bitton Market with his supporters earlier. There he forcibly closed all the open shops.

The Congress had said a day before, 'Shops will not be forcibly closed during the bandh'. Now a mixed effect of the bandh has been seen across the state. Today, small shops were closed at many places and opened elsewhere. The Congress worker was also seen forcibly closing the shops. Today, Congress workers were also seen urging loudspeakers on Gypsies to keep shops closed to make the bandh a success.

Former CM Kamal Nath said, "There is a talk of Congress closing everything in the state except the essentials". On last Friday too, a campaign was launched by the Congress to make the bandh successful. In this campaign, there was a call to the traders to keep their shops closed by roaming around the market.
