Bhopal: These days, talks are being held in all the states about the issue of Love Jihad. In such a situation, now the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh is going to make strict provisions in the Freedom of Religion Act. In fact, the government has added another provision in it and under it, the culprits of converting 2 or more people will have to face a sentence of 5 to 10 years and a fine of 1 lakh. According to the information received, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the late evening on Saturday.

In this meeting there was a discussion about the provisions of the bill. The CM has also given it in-principle consent. It is being told that on this occasion, the Chief Minister also spoke and presented his stand. During this time the CM said that, 'No person in the state will be able to convert religion by tricking, intimidating, marrying or conspiring with anyone. Strict action will be taken against those who do so. There are strict provisions in the law being prepared for this.

Simultaneously it was also said, 'The draft of the Freedom of Religion Bill 2020 being brought to stop Love Jihad is being amended and made more stringent. If a child is born to a victim of love jihad, both will not only have the right of maintenance, but the child will inherit the property of the father. Not only this, on the complaint of such a case, officers below the level of sub-inspector will not be able to investigate and he will be heard in session court.
