Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, the government has re-fixed the fees for treatment of covid-19 infected patients in private hospitals. In fact, for a long time, the government had been receiving complaints about the arbitrariness of fees in private hospitals. In view of these complaints, the government has decided to form a committee. According to the decision, no private hospital will be able to charge more than 5,000 general wards and isolation fees per day. In addition, the committee has fixed the ventilator fee in ICU at 17,000 per day.

It has also been stated that any health insurance/any bilateral contract/MoU of non-Ayushman Yojana beneficiary category and covid patients who do not join private corporate group or patient will be treated at the rates fixed at the same time. Let us tell you that these new rates for private hospitals will come into effect from June 10. But by June 10 patients will have to pay the hospital bill at a pre-determined rate.

It is now being said that the treatment of new Covid-19 infected patients admitted to hospitals from June 10 will be at fixed new rates. The validity of hospitals and medical institutions currently treating corona is scheduled to remain till June 10. For the next period, institutions will have to seek fresh permission from the district collector.
