Bhopal: Ordinance on Love Jihad has been passed in Uttar Pradesh. After this decision, political activity has also increased in other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled states. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra says that a law will be brought against Love Jihad in the state assembly in December.

According to Narottam Mishra, the session of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will begin on December 28, in which this law will be brought. This law will be called the Freedom of Religion Act 2020. Narottam informed that this bill will discuss about punishment, penalty etc. in the cabinet. He said that someone should be furious at our religion, this is not acceptable. On this issue, Mishra held a meeting with officials of Home and Law Department. ACS of Home Department, Principal Secretary of Law Department and ADG were present in the meeting, in which the draft of the law was discussed.

Recently Madhya Pradesh took action on a web series of Netflix. In which the kissing scene was shown in the temple, Home Minister Narottam Mishra had objected to this. Along with Madhya Pradesh, Anil Vij, a minister in the Haryana government has also said that on the lines of UP, Haryana will soon bring a law on love jihad. BJP-ruled states have been discussing this issue for a long time and are talking about bringing legislation.
