Narsinghpur: A big news has come from Joba village in the Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh. In fact, the marriage of a woman IAS officer and IFS officer held here is in the news. Under the information received, IAS is Tapasya Parihar who has secured 23rd rank in the UPSC examination. She recently married IFS officer Gauravit Gangwar. The marriage of the two is in the news because Tapasya refused to Kanyadaan. Stumbling upon Hindu customs and culture, Tapasya has told his father, 'I am not a charity thing, I am your daughter.'
Saying this, she did not let perform kanyadaan ceremony at the wedding. The wedding reception took place in Jowa village last Thursday after the wedding. Relatives and acquaintances from both sides attended the meeting. You all must know that Kanyadan is of special importance in Hindu culture, but Tapasya Parihar born in Narsinghpur district did not allow the kanyadan ceremony to take place at her wedding, which is why this marriage is in the news and people are calling penance good and bad. On the other hand, IAS officer Tapasya says that 'Since childhood, she used to think about this ideology of the society that how someone can donate me, that too without my wish. Slowly I discussed the same thing with my family and the family members also agreed about this. Then the groom's side was also persuaded for this and the marriage took place without giving any Kanyadaan.
IAS Tapasya Parihar says that 'if two families get married together, then it is not right to be big, small or high and low. Why should someone donate and when I got ready for marriage, I also kept the ceremony of Kanyadan away from marriage after discussing with the family members. On the other hand, Tapasya's husband IFS Garvit says, 'Why a girl has to change completely after marriage. Whether it is a matter of filling the demand or any such tradition which proves that the girl is married. Such rituals are never applicable to the boy and we should try to do away with such beliefs gradually.' Tapasya's father is also happy with the marriage. However, many people are calling this step of penance wrong and they say that every ritual should be performed as a Hindu.
