Khargone: A 4-day-old newborn was stolen from Khargone District Hospital late last night. The matter is said to be at 1.15 pm. CCTV camera shows a woman carrying a child. Police are investigating the case. According to reports, Neha Pati Sandeep, maternity from Piplai in Gogaon block, was admitted to the district hospital two days ago. Husband Sandeep says she fed the baby at 1 pm and put him to sleep. After a while, I saw that the child was missing.

There was an uproar in the hospital as soon as the same child was reported to have been stolen. The administration officials rushed to the hospital. Cctv footage revealed that a woman wearing a burqa was seen stealing from the hospital around 1.14 pm. On receiving information, Khargone SDM Milind Dhoke rushed to the hospital on Friday morning and interacted with the family members.

That is what they have ordered an inquiry. Police are on the lookout for the suspected woman. So far, no clue has been found in the hands of the police. Civil Surgeon Dr. Divyesh Verma said that action will be taken as per rules against those found negligent in the flood case. News about the suspected woman is also being extracted at the hospital level.
