Bhind: Polling for the second phase of the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat elections began at 7 am on Friday. Polling is being held in 7,655 gram panchayats of 106 districts in 47 districts. 1 crore 31 lakh 44 thousand 27 voters will exercise their franchise. Polling will take place till 3 pm and after that, the counting will begin. Polling is being held for Panch, Sarpanch, Janpad and Zila Panchayat members in these districts. A total of 23 thousand 967 polling booths have been set up for polling.  

In Bhind, a gunfight broke out in Surpura ahead of polling. In Bijora village, supporters of a candidate were pressurising Ramdas Singh Bhadauria to cast their votes. There was an argument and supporters of the candidate opened fire. 16-year-old Komal Bhadauria and her uncle Rajan Singh Bhadauria were injured. In the same Chhatarpur, the vehicle of the husband of ward number 21 candidate Vidyawati Agnihotri was stoned before the polling in the saffron district panchayat. It is alleged that Hariom Agnihotri along with his supporters was distributing money to voters. Those who did not get the money, pelted stones.

In Raghogarh in Guna, due to heavy rains, people who had come to cast their votes came out of the polling station to escape. In some districts, there is a situation of waterlogging after the rains. Due to this, people are facing difficulties in reaching the polling station.
