Rajgarh: In Madhya Pradesh, there is a lot of confusion over the panchayat and body elections. Meanwhile, a candidate who lost the panchayat elections has been accused of beating up a BJP leader. It is also being said that the BJP leader, who was saddened by the beating, has tried to kill himself by consuming poison.

The incident took place in the Rajgarh district. Bjp's divisional general secretary Lakhan Verma is admitted to the hospital here and his condition is said to be critical. According to media reports, there was a fierce contest between Narayan Singh Sondhia and Gujarat Singh Sondhia in Kheri, a gram panchayat falling under the Kalipeeth police station area. Gujarat Singh Sondhia was declared victorious by 43 votes after the results came out. It is being said that Narayan Singh was very sad about his defeat. Due to this, he also threatened people who did not vote for him.

It is alleged that due to this defeat, Khafa Narayan Singh has assaulted BJP's Mandal general secretary Lakhan Verma. Lakhan Verma's brother Jagdish Verma told the media, "We have 10 votes in our house. Out of these, 5 votes were given to sarpanch candidate Narayan Singh Sondhia and 5 votes were given to Gujarat Sondhia. When Narayan Singh lost the election, he started saying, "You have defeated me. Don't get out of the way of our land. If we put your feet in the ground, they will bury them alive.'' According to Jagdish Verma, his brother was then assaulted. Saddened by this, he consumed poison. The condition of Lakhan Verma, who is admitted to the hospital, is said to be critical. In this case, the police said that Lakhan Verma was taken directly to the hospital by his family members. So no FIR has been registered. But by registering a zero FIR at the outpost present in the hospital, the entire case will be transferred to Kalipeeth police station soon.
