Sagar: Around 17 devotees were injured when a stampede broke out during a religious program in Bina town of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday. In this case, the officials said that this accident happened when the devotees started running to get coconut. Coconuts were being distributed after the ceremony was over. On the other hand, in this matter, SDM Shailendra Singh said that this program was being held on Khimlasa Road in the district. Yes, Dhirendra Kumar Shastri was reciting 'Ram Katha' here and during this time about 25 thousand devotees were present here.

SDM Shailendra Singh said that coconuts were being given as prasad during the story, but in the meantime suddenly a crowd gathered and a stampede broke out. He further told that as soon as the coconut distribution program started at the time of the Katha event, there was a competition among the devotees to get coconut and the railing in the pandal fell on many devotees. Yes and many people got injured in this. He further said that the injured have been taken to Civil Hospital and Bina Refinery Hospital. In this case, Doctor Virendra Singh of Civil Hospital said that three of the injured have fractures in their legs. Others suffered minor injuries and were let go after initial treatment, he said.

On the other hand, in this matter, the organizers said that there was no mistake on their part. The organizers said that we arranged everything. However, according to media reports, a member of the organizing committee told that the chaos happened because some people tried to break the queue. Further, he added that there was no mismanagement here and the incident happened because of the people sitting in the front rows.
