Arun Jaitley’s fellow party-mate as well as member of the parliament Subramanian Swamy as on 17th September 2016 commented as an economist, he would have made a better Finance Minister than Arun Jaitley, who is only a lawyer and the present finance minister.
Today at India Today's Mind Rocks summit in New Delhi, BJP leader who is popular for controversial comments, Mr. Subramanian Swamy said, "Jaitley is only a lawyer while I am an economist. It is self-evident who would make a better Finance Minister."
Also, the minister did not remain silent when asked about his fellow panelist and made the remarks after him. Later Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi encouraged and got the best of him to comment on how Mr. Swamy would have controlled the inflation rates and they would not be as high as they are today if he was assigned as the country's Finance Minister.
