Mumbai: The MPSC has postponed the State Service Preliminary Examination, 2020. The competition exam was to be held on 13 September 2020. Now, According to Maharashtra Public Service   the State Service Preliminary Examination will be held on September 20, 2020.

The date of examination of Maharashtra Public Service Commission had to be changed as this exam and NEET-PG examination was scheduled to held on the same day. For this reason, the commission extended the MPSC pre exam date for one week. A notification related to this information has been issued by the State Services Commission on the official website on August 12, 2020.

Millions of candidates of the state take part in NIIT PG exams, organizing 2 exams on the same day can be a problem as there are too many exam centers for both exams are same. Before this, the state service preliminary examination was scheduled to be held in April, but due to the COVID-19 epidemic, it was postponed. Maharashtra Public Service Commission Examination will be held to fill 200 vacancies in various departments. The official notification for this examination was issued on 23 December and the last date to apply for the examination was 13 January 2020.
