Ayodhya: On Saturday, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), linked to the RSS, asserted that a majority of Muslims in the country believe that Lord Ram belongs to everyone and expressed their support for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. Referring to a survey conducted in collaboration with a Gujarat-based charitable trust, the MRM claimed that members of the minority community want to boycott those they view as exploiting Islam for political gain, including certain Ulemas, Maulanas, and opposition leaders.

Led by senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar, the MRM stated that 74% of Muslims, according to the survey findings, support the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, while 72% express their approval of the Modi government.

"In the survey, 74% of Muslims openly expressed their opinion in favor of the Ram Mandir, and 72% of Muslims expressed their opinion in favor of the Modi government," stated the MRM in a release.

The MRM claimed that 26% of Muslims expressed no confidence in the Modi government, citing concerns about religious fanaticism. These individuals, as per the MRM, acknowledge Ram as a matter of faith but don't anticipate visiting the Ram temple and lack trust in the Modi government.

The 'Ram Jan Survey' was reportedly conducted by the Ayurveda Foundation Charitable Trust, covering Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, and other northeastern states, gathering opinions from 10,000 people.

The MRM claimed that 70% of Muslims feel that India has emerged as a world power based on the survey findings. Additionally, the MRM criticized certain leaders, including Maulana Madani, Owaisi, Badruddin Ajmal, Akhilesh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, and leaders of the Congress and the NCP, accusing them of spreading hatred instead of love. The MRM urged a complete boycott of those it termed as "so-called Ulemas, Maulanas, and opposition leaders" exploiting Islam for political purposes.
