The Lakme Fashion Week which opens on October 21 is set to bring Mrunal Thakur as a showstopper. The fashion event organizers announced that Mrunal Thakur will bring down the curtain at the upcoming first season- fluid edition of the Lakme Fashion Week's (LFW). This year event will be telecasted on digital platform on October 25. This is LFW’s first ever digital telecast. The theme of the year is ‘Spotlight’.
Mrunal, very well known for the TV show 'Kumkum Bhagya' a super hit by Balaji Telefilms and dubbed in various south Indian languages is a well known fashion personality and has acted in films like 'Super 30' and 'Love Sonia', expressed her joy on debut walk on the ramp at the LFW finale and is always been a dream for her. She is on love over the bold eyes and the extra essence LFW adds on the glam look. The new theme boosts everyone to be spotlight ready. And about the Lakme collections, “The new Lakme Absolute Spotlight Collection has become my ultimate favourite for every occasion and it's impossible to pick one".
The LFW has been partnered with the designers Rimzim Dadu know for her futuristic designs and duo Saaksha Bhat and Kinnari Kamat for the grand finale. Rimzim is exploring the floral and geometrical shapes in her clothing line and the duo is concentrating on celebrating the strong, resilient spirit of the Banjara tribe and their zest for life. Ashwath Swaminathan, Head of Innovations, Lakme, said this season, the Lakme Absolute Grand Finale will put the spotlight on the future of fashion and felt happy to have Mrunal Thakkur as showstopper and is happy to work with the designers.
