Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Hardik Pandya has hit top stride in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 for his team. He  has amassed 218 runs with the willow and has scalped eight wickets in nine matches in IPL 2019. The all-rounder has taken a leaf out of MS Dhoni’s book by improvising the highly popular ‘Helicopter Shot’. He has been playing the shot in almost every match with positive results. Hardik said that Dhoni liked the improvised version of the helicopter shot and said ‘it was good’The all-rounder said he has been practising the shot in the nets but never thought he would play the helicopter shot during a game.

Talking about the shot, Pandya said PTI, "I never thought I would play the helicopter shot in a game. I've been practising that in the nets. I went to Dhoni's room and asked him if he liked my version of the helicopter shot. He said it was good.”

Hardik brought out the helicopter shot of his arsenal and whacked Kagiso Rabada for a massive six in the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

The all-rounder has smashed 16 sixes so far in IPL 2019 and holds the record for the biggest six in the ongoing cash-rich league. The flamboyant all-rounder had smashed a gigantic 104-meter-long six against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) which is the longest till now in IPL 2019 ahead of Chris Lynn's 102-meter six.
