Despite rapid growth, the difference in wage payments for women and men still in India is still high. The study of the Monster Salary Index (MSI) revealed that women have a 19 percent lower pay compared to males. The MSI has conducted a nervous breakdown on women in corporate sector during International Women's Day. According to the MSI Survey, the average salary for men was Rs 242.49 per hour, while women's salary was Rs 196.30. Men salaries were more than 46.19 rupees higher than women.

There are a wage difference in IT, ITeS and Manufacturing sectors. Women earn higher wages in the women sector such as Healthcare, Care Services, and Social Work. There is the slightest difference in banking, financial services, and insurance sector. Work experience is another important factor in wage payments. There is a little difference in wage payment of a fresher woman and male staff. However, as the experience grows, the difference is also growing simultaneously. For example, men with 10 years of experience get 15 percent higher salary compared to the same experienced women’s job.

In India, this wage difference was 20 percent in 2017, a decline of 19 percent last year. According to the MSI report, companies and industries need to work hard to diversify the difference. Monster Dotcom studied the difficulties faced by women in their work and their concerns. 71 percent of males and 66 percent of women surveyed said the reduction of wage difference was one of the most important priorities of the company. 60 percent of women employees said they were discriminated against in the work. On the other hand, the economic growth rate of the country is falling, while the unemployment rate has reached the maximum of lifetime zones. This led to anxiety over the financial future.
