Ramanand Sagar-directed historical show Ramayan is being telecast once again due to the lockdown. Ramayana is getting the love of the people even today as before. The show has made a record in TRP as well as re-telecast. But do you know veteran actor Mukesh Khanna did not like the Ramayana at all years ago. In a conversation with a media, Mukesh revealed this. He said, "I want to confess that I never liked the TV show Ramayana."

He further said, "It was like I belonged to BJP and Ramayana was Congress. Whenever I used to watch Ramayana, I used to think why Ramanand Sagar has made such a slow show. I loved watching the Mahabharata because everything was fast in it. I have just started watching the re-telecast of Ramayana. I was surprised to see the way this show has been made with it. Ravindra Jain's footstool comes after every scene. It is very relaxing to see this. My eyes were moist after seeing some scenes."

He further said, "Now I like Ramayana. Arun Govil has done a fantastic job. He caught a smile and did not leave it till the end. The work of Sita, Bharat, Janak, Dasharatha, the entire cast is fantastic." Mukesh Khanna played the role of Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharata. He believes that Ramayana is an emotional subject, while Mahabharata tempo. But now he realize his mistake. He says that Ramanand Sagar took a lot of trouble in showing every small detail.
