In his statement on Monday, Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that there was no need for the BJP to get a certificate from the Congress in terms of transparency in the face of opposition attacks over the CVC appointment. Naqvi said, all the appointments including the Central Vigilance Commissioner and the Vigilance Commissioner have been done through a completely transparent process. The government does not need a Congress certificate to prove it. He said, the Congress is still unable to understand that it does not get as many votes to sit in the opposition, so it is upset.

He told that for every appointment there is a committee in which the leader of the biggest opposition is also there. The government is following the rules. Naqvi's remarks came after Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary's letter to PM Modi in the Lok Sabha in which he sought to reconsider the appointment of CVC and VC.

Naqvi retaliated on the allegations of opposition at the Center about Yes Bank, and said, no one has done more damage to the economy of the country than the corrupt Congress has done. The Modi government has rectified the mistakes of the Congress for 70 years in the last 5 years. That is why we do not need any advice from the Congress on the economy. Naqvi said, the country's economy is in strong and secure hands.
