Banda: The RTPCR investigation report of BSP MLA Mukhtar Ansari, who is lodged in Banda jail in Uttar Pradesh, has also come out positive. Earlier on Saturday, antigen tests confirmed the infection. Ansari has been isolated to barrack no.16 of the jail after confirmation of corona infection. Banda Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. N.D. Sharma said on Tuesday that the infection was also confirmed in the RTPCR investigation on Sunday after Banda jail inmate Mukhtar Ansari was found positive for coronavirus in an antigen test on Saturday.
He said, "Health department officials are constantly looking after Ansari's health and at present Mukhtar has been isolated in barrack no.16 of the jail. Principal of Government Medical College Dr. Mukesh Kumar Yadav has said that the team of doctors is constantly monitoring the health of Mukhtar Ansari after confirmation of coronavirus infection. He has said that even after the infection was confirmed, Ansari did not have any symptoms of the corona, yet he will remain isolated in the jail barracks".
Superintendent-in-charge of the jail Pramod Tripathi said, Mukhtar Ansari, has been isolated in Barrack No.16 after confirmation of corona infection. At present, their position is stable. On the orders of the Supreme Court, Mukhtar Ansari was shifted to Banda jail by Uttar Pradesh police from Rupnagar (Ropar) jail in Punjab on the morning of April 7.
