Mumbai: A surprising case has come to light in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. The body of a corona-infected patient missing for the last 14 days has been recovered from a toilet in Sewri Hospital. The deceased man was 27 years old and was suffering from TB (tuberculosis). The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ordered a high-level inquiry into the matter and sent notices to the staff of the hospital working in the ward.
According to information given by the sources, on October 18, the ward boy of the hospital felt that the smell was coming from a closed toilet. After which he informed the hospital staff about this. Giving information, sources have said that he got a decomposed body from the toilet floor. After this, the hospital staff called the police and informed them about this.
Questions are also being raised about the fact that patients are using these toilets regularly, then they too should have smelled. A hospital administration staff said that it seems the patient has died due to common reasons. The patient had TB disease and was also found to be corona infected. A complaint of missing the patient was lodged on 4 October. It seems that when the patient reached the toilet, he had breathing problems and due to this he died.
