Mumbai: The Mumbai Anti Narcotics Cell has got a big success against drug traders. The Worli unit of the Mumbai Anti Narcotics Cell on Tuesday busted a drug factory in the Ankleshwar area of Gujarat's Bharuch district. The team recovered about 513 kg of MD drugs in this raid. The price of these drugs is said to be Rs 1,026 crore in the global market. The Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell has also arrested seven accused, including a woman, in connection with the case.  

Earlier in June, drugs worth crores of rupees were recovered in the sea area of Gujarat. BSF and Kutch police had seized a huge quantity of heroin in the Jakhau district of Kutch district of Gujarat. In this action, Gujarat ATS and Indian Coast Guard arrested 7 Pakistanis along with a Pakistani boat. Last year, a consignment of 3,000 kg of drugs was seized at Mundra port in Gujarat in September 2021. Its value in the international market was said to be 21,000 crores.  

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) recovered 3,000 kg of heroin from two containers imported from Afghanistan. Two people were also arrested from Chennai in the case. The Mundra port is owned by Adani Port. Adani Port is Gautam Adani's company. The consignment was imported by M/s Ashi Trading Company registered at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and was said to be talcum powder.
