Mumbai: The case of a patient's eye rat being gnawed in a Mumbai hospital is making headlines. In fact, under the information received, a 24-year-old patient named Yelappa has alleged that "The patients eye has been gnawed by a mouse and this has also damaged his eye" The entire incident is said to have taken place last Tuesday. The matter has been confirmed by the officials of Rajawadi Hospital of BMC at Ghatkopar. On the other hand, the hospital administration has responded. "There is no damage to the patient's eye," he says. Only the upper part is hurt. The patient is being treated".

Yelappa's sister, on the other hand, says she had eye surgery in the past. She then had a bruise on her left eye when she went to the hospital to meet her brother. After seeing this, he immediately informed the doctors about it. The doctors shifted him to another bed as soon as he got the information. In this case, Yelappa's sister says that her condition is still critical. On the other hand, the dean of the hospital, Dr. Vidya Thakur says, "However, the patient has only suffered an upper injury. There is no danger to his eye. He is being treated. But this incident could have been avoided".

At the same time, the doctor also said, "The incident took place on the ground floor of the hospital. Rats reach there because some people throw garbage. From now on, the hospital will be aware of such incidents". Now, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has also met the patient in the case and ordered an inquiry into the incident. She reportedly described the rat bite as a serious issue to the patient.
