Mumbai: A four-storey building collapse collapsed in Mumbai's Kurla. Reacting to the incident, Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray said, "Notices were given to vacate the four buildings but many people still live there. Our priority is to evacuate the building and demolish the building. The deputy commander of NDRF said that rescue operations are still going on. Another person has been rescued. 25-30 people are expected to be trapped, but the exact figures are not yet clear. It is taking time to get inside as the floor of the building falls into a shape above the other. The incident took place when a dilapidated structure of a G plus two building collapsed at Shastri Nagar in the Bandra West area. Two days before the incident, four relief workers were injured when the parking lift of a newly constructed multi-storey building collapsed in Mumbai's Kalyan area.

The incident took place when the relief workers were checking the lift on the fourth floor of the newly constructed 23-storey building and as soon as there was a loud sound of the lift falling, many people present at the spot rushed towards the lift and immediately pulled out the injured from inside the lift. At the same time, the incident was later reported to the fire brigade and the injured personnel were admitted to the hospital.
