Mumbai: Even after the Bombay High Court's order, the housing societies are openly offering animal sacrifices. A complaint has also been lodged in several parts of Maharashtra, including in Mumbai. On August 6, the Bombay High Court had issued an order saying that there would be no sacrifice in a house, flat or society in Mumbai on the occasion of Eid.
Following the court's order, the BMC's order for sacrifice was cancelled from 7 to 8 thousand permeat. The complaint of sacrifice of animals in the Housing Society has come from Chiplun in Maharashtra. However, the situation has come to light not only in the far-flung areas of Maharashtra but also in Navi Mumbai, Panvel, near Mumbai, the country's economic capital.
A video has surfaced showing many people offering sacrifices in the open. The video is being described by a society based at Ghatkopar in Mumbai Municipality. The blood of the animals seen in the video is blowing up the court order. According to advocate Sidya Vaidya, who took up the case in the court, there are many other complaints which will be placed before the court on Friday.
