New Delhi:  The 17th match of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) will take off at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday to stop the Punjab Kings (PBKS), the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI). Even after faltering in middle order in batting, Mumbai's team will present a tough challenge for Punjab. Lokesh Rahul-led Punjab has won just one of their four matches and the team has struggled with the bat in the last two matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings in the last two matches.

Whenever Punjab has done better with the bat, it has had very big scores in front of it. The team had scored 222 runs against Rajasthan Royals and in this, they won by just four runs. In the next match, Punjab could not defend the target of 196 runs and Delhi Capitals knocked them out by six wickets. It will be interesting to see if Punjab changes its batting order or not. Universal boss Chris Gayle's bat is also not going as expected and his West Indies teammate Nicholas Pooran is not scoring runs off the bat, who scored runs last season. Punjab Kings can include David Malan of England in the playing XI of the world No.1 T20 batsman.

The team can bring back Ravi Bishnoi, who performed brilliantly last season. This will be only Punjab's second match in Chepak, while Mumbai has played all its matches here. The Mumbai team had to face defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals in their last match after winning two matches and now the team would like to return.
