Maharashtra: Recently two women and a man with charas of Rs 2 crore have been arrested from Mumbai's Kurla LTT railway terminus. This information has been given by an official of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). "The three accused identified as Aftab Shaikh, Sabir Syed and Shamim Qureshi were arrested following a tip-off," the official said. Along with this, he has also said that 6.628 kg Kashmiri Charas has been recovered from him.
According to information received in this case, the three accused are residents of Kurla East. The official says the recovered substance is Kashmiri charas. In this regard, Mumbai NCB Regional Director Sameer Wankhede told a website that all the three accused are suspected to have been involved in such crimes earlier. Apart from this, he has also said that 'the accused will be produced in court on Monday i.e. today.'
By the way, if you all remember, in August last year, drugs worth Rs 1000 crore were seized in Navi Mumbai. Two people were arrested during that time. He had said that the drugs were brought from Afghanistan by hiding inside pieces of bamboo. At present, the investigation team is questioning the people caught in this case. It is being told that this consignment of drugs from Afghanistan was brought under the guise of Ayurvedic medicine.
