Man who threatened to kill Ambani family nabbed from Bihar

Patna: The Mumbai Police has arrested a man from Darbhanga in Bihar for making threatening calls to the Mukesh Ambani family. The police team is coming back to Mumbai with the accused. A police team detained the suspect with the help of Bihar Police from Darbhanga district on Wednesday midnight, an official said.

RIL spokesperson has said that 'At 12.45 pm and again at 5.04 pm on Wednesday, a call was received at the call centre of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, threatening to blow up the hospital and Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Akash Threatened to kill Ambani and Anant Ambani.' According to the RIL spokesperson, 'The caller also threatened to blow up Antilia. A complaint has been lodged with the police in this regard and we are providing all necessary information to the police in their investigation.'

In August this year, a jeweller was arrested after he called a hospital and threatened to kill industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his family members. In February 2021, an explosives-laden sports utility vehicle (SUV) was gunned down near Ambani's south Mumbai residence 'Antilia'. Later, some people, including the then police officer Sachin Vaze, were arrested in connection with the incident.
