Mumbai: The police on Wednesday arrested the man who made a provocative statement against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Nanded, Maharashtra. Mohammed Salman Ahmed, president of the Maharashtra Unit of the Student Islamic Organization of India (SIO), arrested by the police, will be produced in the court today. Salman gave a provocative speech on Sunday (2 February) at a dharna demonstration near Barkat Complex, Nanded.

Salman had said in his speech that, 'There is no scope of agar and manger in this fight. This law will go back, the rule will also go back after the law. CAA will also not rule, and if one tries to keep both things remaining, nothing will remain. Even if what he wants to do for him, the Muslim community is also ready for him. The young man is also ready for that. So it is not a matter of any other matter but it is not a strategy with any Babri Masjid that the decision of the court will be accepted. We have now decided that India will accept it.

Salman said in his speech that, 'Now when you will agree, you have to decide ... The sooner you believe the better for you, the more time you take, the deeper your grave will be dug. Now you have to decide that 2 feet will go down to 20 feet. '
